Young people from the Activity Agreement had a taste of the limelight at ‘Bollywood in the Park', the event that took place at Roundhay Park in Leeds.
Kamber, Kai and Johnathan were part of a 6-person production team working on a promotional DVD for the Activity Agreement as part of their Activity Agreements.
Bollywood in the Park is a festival that encourages the celebration of a variety of cultures. The weather was hot and sunny which allowed the spectators to sit around on the grass having family picnics. There was a wide selection of stalls and a funfair.
Howard Naylor, Senior Keyworker for the Activity Agreement in Calderdale, says “I felt attending this event would be an ideal opportunity for the young people to practice what they are learning about film making and to develop their skills in a live environment”. Howard managed to get the team backstage where they took advantage of the opportunity by interviewing several of the Bollywood stars.
The interviews feature on the Activity Agreement DVD, which is available to view and download from the home page.
