Richard and his girlfriend Sarah signed up to the Activity Agreement together. After discussions with their Keyworker Maria it was obvious that Richard wanted to continue with his family tradition and gain skills in the construction and warehousing industry whereas Sarah was unsure of her career direction. As a starting point they both signed up for a weeks' course in Fork Lift Truck driving. They are now participating in the Calderdale Mashed Course to develop their communication skills.

Keyworker Maria Briscoe is very pleased with Richard and Sarah’s progress so far. She says “the Activity Agreement allows you to try out new activities so that you can develop your skills and discover the right career path for you. Richard and Sarah are using their time on the Activity Agreement wisely by being enthusiastic about trying out new things and developing their skills.”

Sarah has now realised that she would like a career in childcare and with Maria’s help is hoping to apply for an apprenticeship in Childcare.
