While attending a child card course at Annisa UK in Bradford, centre staff noticed that Rimi had an interest and an obvious talent in art. They asked her if she would be interested in redesigning the training centre’s business cards and letter headed paper.
Of course Rimi said yes!
The work that was produced was of such a high standard that the centre had the designs printed to use for all their office stationary.
Rimi has since encouraged other young people on the course to take an interest and experiment with art. This has resulted in Annisa UK setting up a 6 week accredited arts programme. The programme involves creating a large mosaic which will run the full length of the entrance hall into the building. It will serve as a reminder to all young people that if they have an interest in a subject they should follow it up, because you never know what opportunites it might lead to!
Rimi was awarded the LSC Award for excellent achievement after she was nominated by Anissa Uk for her art work.
