Young people from Wakefield attended a 12 week cookery course which was run by Nacro.
The course included; Being safe in the kitchen, Getting started, Different chopping techniques, The balance of good health and A ' cook off' session where young people in teams of two competed for the best dish.
The course was accredited and at the end the young people were awarded a Duke of Edinburgh Certificate and a bag of 'goodies'. The 'goody ' bag including useful cookery items to encourage the young people to continue using their new cooking skills.
The young people thoroughly enjoyed the course and each received a cookery book at the end of it which contained the recipes, tips and techniques which they had learnt on the course.
