Ross, now aged 19, is a true success story for the Activity Agreement team in Calderdale. As an unemployed apprentice plasterer, aged 17, Ross recognised what a fantastic opportunity the Activity Agreement gave him.

After signing up to the Activity Agreement he attended and successfully completed a fork lift truck driving course. He then went on to accept an apprenticeship as an electrical installation engineer with a company in Hemel Hemstead. He is now studying for an NVQ Level 2 through the Open University.

Secure employment and future prospects became even more important when Ross became the father of twins. Thanks to the Activity Agreement he is looking forward to a bright future.

Ross says “I would like to thank the Activity Agreement for helping me to achieve my goals and my Keyworker Maria Briscoe for all of her support and encouragement.

Ross has been awarded the 4Real Award for his outstanding personal achievement.
