Nathan kick starts his career with the Activity Agreement 17 year old Nathan had achieved 8 GCSEs at school. A member of St John’s Ambulance for 5 and a half years, he started college only to discover that the course wasn’t right for him.
He felt that he needed support and guidance to move his career forward and wanted the opportunity to build his confidence.
Nathan got in touch with the Calderdale team through the website and signed up to the Activity Agreement after discussing his interests and aspirations with his Keyworker.
Nathan has now successfully completed a Referee Training and Assessment programme through West Riding County Football Association Limited and has gained a level 9 Qualification. He is now working towards a Level 7 Qualification which will enable him to become a Junior County Referee aswell as attending a weekly CSLA course.
Howard Naylor, Senior Keyworker at Calderdale says “The Activity Agreement is about helping young people get on the right path. It gives them the opportunity to experience new activities while giving them the necessary support. I am really proud of Nathan and his achievements and would encourage any young person to call us to find out how the Activity Agreement can help them fast forward their prospects for the future.”
